Extraction Desk
Case and phone tracking for mobile forensics examiners, from the day a phone comes in to the day the case is archived.
It's a Windows app for examiners who do phone extractions with tools such as Cellebrite UFED or GrayKey, and who need to see at a glance which phones are waiting, which need a report and which are done. Extraction Desk tracks the work around the extraction. It doesn't do the extraction itself.
Private beta. Extraction Desk is in a private test in the Microsoft Store. If you're a tester, use the Store link you were sent.
What it does
- Intake
- Add a case with its report number, detective, category and phones, or fill it in from photos of the printed evidence labels. Every case gets its own folder.
- Extraction
- The Board shows every open case grouped by where its phones are. Each phone keeps its details, passcode, tool, extraction type, notes and a checklist.
- Report
- The Report writer fills your report template with the case and phone details and exports a Word report to the case folder.
- Archive
- Archive finished cases, see your stats, back up to a folder you choose, and import or export your case log.
Your cases stay on your PC
No accounts, ads or tracking. Cases, settings and label photos are saved on your PC and in the folders you choose. The only time the app goes online is to ask the Microsoft Store whether an update is ready. Privacy policy
